Bill Graham’s famed rock-and-roll venue on the Lower East Side, like his San Francisco Fillmore, presented the hottest rock stars at the peak of their success. Joni Mitchell’s appearance coincided with the release of her second album, with Clouds, Chelsea Morning, and Both Sides Now.
