    Beecroft
    Tartan Plaid Kilt
    Classic
    This classic woman's vintage kilt was made in Britain of 100% wool fabric. The labels indicate that it was imported from England by Beecroft and sold at The Wollen Shop in New England.  Made in the traditional Scottish style, it buckles at the waste at the waste.  It has pleats  and wraps around with fringe on the open side.   I don't know the names of the tartan patterns, but this one is  a blue-light green, red, yellow and black.  It has three leather belts and buckets.  It measures roughly 28" around the waste and is 27" from waste to hem.   Beautifully tailored, it is in great condition, but may have a few pin-hole sized moth holes that are only visible when you hold the fabric up to the light.  None are visible when the skirt is worn or on a hanger.  This is one of four traditional woman's kilts we found at an estate sale.  They are all different tartans and all in good shape.  Check them out!
